A breath of sea breeze envelops us when we take the 300-metre coastal path that surrounds the Salou lighthouse. The route allows the visitor to practically touch the water and enjoy a natural environment of great beauty, sheltered from the rugged coast, away from the noise of the capital of the Costa Dorada.

Inaugurated in April 1858, it has a red central tower that even today, day after day, illuminates the Gulf of San Jordi on the Costa Dorada. It had a white light fueled by olive oil, which could be seen from 14 miles. Two tower keepers were in charge of making it work. Then, as the years went by, the technology was implemented. Annex is another building that had been occupied by the engineer and the bullfighter. The restoration of the place has been carried out in a very respectful way with the natural environment. Thus, you can see native plants such as asparagus, white pine, sea lily, agave or cerrillo, among others. Also, three viewpoints distributed along the route allow you to stop and enjoy the Costa Dorada in all its splendor. One of the most unique is the southern viewpoint, from which the mountains of the Llaberia mountain range can be seen. At this point you can stop to enjoy the twenty seabirds that frequent this place.

From the apartment, go down to the beach, cross it and go up the stairs behind the showers. Above, go to the viewpoint and the signs for the Camio de Ronda.
